The event will be held at Pace University's Kessel Student Center in Pleasantville, and will feature a panel of leading experts who will discuss women’s health issues, including cancer and cardiovascular disease. Don’t miss the opportunity to get tips on preventative actions, making healthy choices, stress reduction, and how to make time for physical activities.
Guests will also have the opportunity to choose from one of the following interactive sessions, aimed at promoting a holistic approach to women's health:
- Hands-only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training
- Transform the view of self and the world through Mindfulness and Self Compassion
- Nutrition demonstration by Pace University’s Nutrition Program
This kind of partnership is just one of the many benefits of being part of a larger health system. The panel of experts who will headline this event represent some of the best minds and practitioners in women’s health and are all in the Northwell Health family.
Renowned cardiologist, Dr. Stacey Rosen, heads the KIWH. “Our goal of helping women achieve optimum health requires the unceasing collaborative efforts of us all," she said. "Clinical programs, education, and research form the basis of our work. We want to keep everyone as healthy as possible – and the research has shown that women are the backbone of their families. So if they are knowledgeable about health, their families will also thrive.”
There is a modest admission fee of $20 (to cover expenses of hosting the event), but register with a friend and you’ll each save $5. This event is not a fundraiser. It’s Northwell Health living their mission by giving our community access to important information about their health.
A light dinner will be served and all guests will be entered into a gift basket raffle. Register today, click here.
